{"id":22452,"date":"2023-03-09T17:53:02","date_gmt":"2023-03-09T17:53:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euphorianet.it\/?post_type=cpt_portfolio&#038;p=22452"},"modified":"2023-03-31T09:50:03","modified_gmt":"2023-03-31T09:50:03","slug":"school-transformation-lab-all-students-got-talent","status":"publish","type":"cpt_portfolio","link":"https:\/\/euphorianet.it\/index.php\/portfolio\/school-transformation-lab-all-students-got-talent\/","title":{"rendered":"School Transformation lab \u2013 all students got talent"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/euphorianet.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/logo-erasmus-official-300x91.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9116\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>School Transformation Lab &#8211;&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>All students got talent&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PROJECT PARTNERS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>School Transformation Lab \u2013 All students got talent&nbsp;<\/strong>is a 3-year Erasmus Plus project (September 2017 \u2013 August 2020) aiming at transforming and innovating didactic models at school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The partnership is composed by the coordinator&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/johnrizzo.be\/cest-qui\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ecole Du DIalogue<\/a>&nbsp;(Belgium),&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/euphorianet.it\/aboutus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Associazione Euphoria<\/a>&nbsp;(Italy),&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/tee-eid-agogis.att.sch.gr\/autosch\/joomla15\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Eidiko Epaggelmatiko Gymnasio Acharnon<\/a>&nbsp;(Greece) and&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/glemmen.vgs.no\/ikbViewer\/page\/ofk\/pages\/forsiden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Glemmen Videreg<em>\u00e5<\/em>ende Skole<\/a>&nbsp;(Norway).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PROJECT OBJECTIVES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project idea came from the 15-year experience of John Rizzo, known in Belgium as a \u201cschool transformer\u201d and from a common need felt by many European teachers to \u201ctransform their schools\u201d and make them more responding to the current society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most school system experts agree about the growing gap between our (traditional) schools and the society: the employability needs and the citizenship needs. Are most existing schools equipping our kids to drive this civilization metamorphosis?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most 20th century schools are structured to train students to follow hierarchical orders and guidance on performing repetitive tasks, often alone, sometimes in competition with other students. 21st century schools should rather focus on autonomy, entrepreneurship and peer to peer collaboration for learning. Being a teacher in these two kinds of schools are two different jobs. Moving from one to another within the same generation is a highly needed and highly challenging process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting from this point, the main objectives of the project are the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Strengthening the profiles of the teaching profession: the only way to transform a school is to make teachers change their behaviour. The first output (01) will be a process to help them achieving that. The second output (O2) is a curriculum for training teacher, while the third output (O3) is a soft skills curriculum for pupils that will reflect on teacher\u2019s soft skills;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Achievement of relevant and high quality skills and competences: once a school is transformed, fast students do not have to wait for the teacher or rest of the class anymore. They learn faster, then more. Slow students too have learning tasks in their proximal development zone: challenging but achievable. They really close the gap on their missing prerequisite skills and build much stronger foundations against discouragement and school drop out. Slow students also benefit more teacher time since fast students need lighter support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Open and innovative practices in digital area: In a transformed school, the teacher drastically reduces the amount of collective explanations he gives. The heart of the transformation is to make the student autonomous in their learning.
