PROJECT PARTNERS
ECO-LINGUA KIDS: Second language acquisition through an environmentally focused approach for pre-school and primary school children, is an Erasmus Plus project (2023-2025) coordinated by the school Colegio Séneca S.C.A (Spain). The other partners are Euphoria Net (Italy), the educational company Eurospeak Limited (Ireland), CSI – Center for Social Innovation (Cyprus), and other two schools: Akatamakata, a Kindergarten in Larissa (Greece) and Mehmetçik Anadolu Lisesi (Turkey).
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
The project aims to develop educational and interactive second language learning for preschool and primary school by integrating environmental education in the second language learning process. This involves enhancing educators’ understanding and role in integrating environmental topics into language teaching, raising awareness of the benefits of this integration from an early age, providing educators with high-quality teaching materials and digital resources, and improving children’s language skills while fostering environmental and cultural understanding.
AVAILABLE RESULTS
During the project lifetime we will develop the following results:
- The Eco-Lingua Kids E-Book: This resource will serve as a comprehensive guide, outlining best practices and highlighting the benefits of integrating environmental education and awareness into second language learning for preschool and primary school children.
- The Eco-Lingua Kids E-Library: This library will feature a range of activities specifically designed to facilitate the teaching of second languages through the theme of environmental topics.
- An Online Platform: An online learning platform that incorporates a teacher training curriculum. This platform will empower educators with the knowledge and essential skills needed to seamlessly integrate environmental education into the process of acquiring a second language for preschool and primary school children.
The consortium is developing the results that will be soon ready on the official channels of the project.
To find out more, the project website will be soon available in English, Spanish, Italian, Greek and Turkish.
