SAFEBOT – Supporting Adolescents’ Feelings & Emotions through a chatBOT for a Whole-school Approach to Students’ Emotional Education and Well-being
SAFEBOT is an Erasmus+ project (2025–2027) focused on emotional education and mental well-being in schools. The SAFEBOT Erasmus+ partnership combines innovative teaching methods, a student-friendly chatbot, and a whole-school approach to make emotional support a normal part of school life — not an exception. As a result, this project is particularly relevant for schools and teachers looking for practical, structured tools to integrate emotional well-being into everyday teaching.
Why this project matters
Many adolescents deal with stress, anxiety, loneliness, and academic pressure. In addition, they often struggle to express emotions or ask for help. Teachers and schools, meanwhile, frequently lack structured tools to integrate emotional education into everyday teaching. Therefore, SAFEBOT addresses both sides of the problem: supporting students directly, while also equipping schools and teachers with practical resources.
What the project aims to do (objectives)
The SAFEBOT Erasmus+ project aims to create safer, more inclusive school environments where young people feel respected, heard, and supported. Furthermore, the goal is to make emotional education an integral part of school culture — for students aged 13 to 18, their teachers, and the wider school community.
What we are building (results)
- A Teachers’ Toolkit with a mini-guide and 30 ready-to-use pedagogical sequences to help schools integrate emotional education into everyday teaching
- The SafeBot Chatbot — a safe, anonymous, judgement-free space where students can explore their feelings and find reliable information, accompanied by the SafeBot Guide
- A Students’ Library — a curated digital collection of national and European resources on emotional well-being and digital awareness
In total, all results will be available in English, Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Romanian, and Bulgarian.
