Distance & Remote Education to Achieve More

DREAM is a 2-years project coordinated by a French non-profit organization, L.E.A.R.N Institute in Chantilly, to provide direct training to teachers on digital competences and create distance learning resources for primary school teachers and students.

The other partners are Euphoria Net Srl (Italy), the Pedagogical University in Krakow (Poland), Lusòfona University (Portugal), the Municipality of Lushnje (Albania) and two schools, EGE ILKOKULU (Turkey) and OOU “Nevena Georgieva-Dunja (The Republic of North Macedonia).

The recent COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly challenged our education systems in Europe and worldwide, putting the spotlight on gaps in the right to education for certain children. Teachers, municipalities and families were insufficiently prepared to the conditions of distance learning.

Within this project, we will create an online platform with distance learning resources (free and ready-made lesson plans and activities) and a series of documents on the sociological and psychological aspects of distance learning for primary school staff, families and municipalities.

These results will be available in 6 languages (EN, FR, IT, PL, PT and AL).

We organize also training activities for Italian teachers abroad to help them building distance lesson plans using digital tools and software.

The project’s consortium has realized 3 main results:

1)    Website and Blog section containing the project’s resources and a collection of articles about distance learning in Europe available for schools, families and local bodies.

2)    Video Lessons about core subjects to be used in distance learning. They are guided lessons categorized per age group (6-11) accessible online via the Youtube channel of the project.

3)    Lesson Plans to assist into the fruition of the video lessons. They are planned and realized to be combined within the Lesson Plans.

4)    Video Tutorial to help teachers and families in approaching distance learning while using digital tools for education purposes.
